DAILY FILE – The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Kaduna state, Hon.Isah Ashiru Kudan, has promised to provide financial assistance to young men and women that wedded if elected.
In a statement posted on social media by Kaduna PDP supporters entitled ‘RT HON ISA ASHIRU KUDAN CONTRACT WITH THE PEOPLE OF KADUNA STATE Tuesday 5th March 2019’ said the gesture is to encourage morality in the society.
Part of the statement said “Provision of Financial and material assistance to young men and women that wedded, so as to encourage morality in society”
Fellow citizens of Kaduna State.
I, Rt. Hon. Isa Ashiru Kudan, gubernatorial candidate of the PDP, would like to use this medium to thank you for your massive support since the inception of campaign. As we draw to a close, I would like to reiterate our key campaign promises which we intend to fulfil if elected.
First and foremost, our government will restore trust, unity and oneness amongst the people of Kaduna State. This is urgent and imperative. No society can develop under an atmosphere of divisiveness and systemic enmity.
Secondly, our government will focus on improving public health care by:
a. Creating more Primary healthcare centres across the state, especially rural areas.
b. Recruiting more doctors, nurses and other important health workers.
c. Equipping Hospitals with modern healthcare facilities and ambulances.
d. Providing free medical checks and treatment for people of 70 years and above”
e. Providing free medical treatment for children of 5 years and below.
Thirdly, our government will run an all-inclusive government through the establishment of WARD DEVELOPMENT ADMINISTRATION for sustainable empowerment of communities”
“All wards would be given monthly GRANTS to enable them execute projects and activities that would be determined by residents and managed by selected ward representatives.
As such, a ward development agency would be created to coordinate the administrative and developmental activities of the 255 wards of Kaduna State”
Fourthly, we will reduce hardship currently being experienced by the people of Kaduna State, through:
a. 50% reduction in the charges of KASTELEA.
b. 50% reduction or elimination of other unnecessary fees and charges
c. 50% reduction in motor license/insurance payments.
d. Payment of retirement benefits to civil servants before the end of the year.
e. Provision of Financial and material assistance to young men and women that wedded, so as to encourage morality in society” the statement said.
