DAILY FILE – Benue State governor,Samuel Ortom, has expressed optimism that the governorship Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Makurdi, the state capital will deliver judgement in his favour as the defeated governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress,APC, Hon. Emmanuel Jime has no valid complaint.
The governor who spoke in Makurdi on Tuesday during a press conference held at the Government House, explained that he defeated jime at the polls during the march 2019 gubernatorial election with a wide margin.
According to him, the PDP won three senatorial seats and six out of eleven house of representatives seats as well as twenty four state houses of Assembly seats which shows that APC is not on ground in the state.
The governor said even with the mayhem caused by APC during the elections and arresting them with money, PDP still defeated them at the polls.
