Bayelsa: Just Like Zamfara, Court Rules ‘APC Has No Governorship Candidate’

November 14, 2019
Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, has urged Nigerians to give a reformed main opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) another chance in 2019 general elections.

The governor, however, appealed to the Benue  electorates to cast their votes in the next year’s Presidential poll for Former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, a chieftaincy title holder in the state who he said would better protect the interest of the Tiv nation and the state  in general.

The Governor, who  claimed that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) had failed to meet the yearnings and aspirations of Nigerians said all PDP must be voted in the state.

Speaking at Tse-Kuegh Anyia, Mbagbera in Vandeikya Local Government Area of the state at the burial of late Pa Shaapera Anyia, the governor appealed to voters to vote for all PDP candidates without discrimination.

The Governor, noted that the Benue North East Senatorial candidate and former Governor of the state, Dr Gabriel Suswam, was best equipped to represent the district having served well in the House of Representatives and also acquired more experience as former governor.

Ortom also appealed to the people of Kyan constituency to re-elect Benue State House of Assembly’s Speaker, Hon.Titus Uba, stressing that he would support him to retain his position if he won a second term.
