DAILY FILE – The APC Solidarity Forum(ASF) has asked Senator representing Kaduna Central Senatorial zone, Shehu Sani, to declare his list of constituency projects in “at least the last two years”
The group further urged Sen.Sani, to stop making empty rhetorics on President Muhammadu Buhari, governor Nasir El-Rufai and the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the media and concentrate on his campaign.
In a statement signed by the group’s Chairman, Hafiz Ali Kujama, and made available to journalists in Kaduna, said the expectations of the people of Kaduna Central was that the Senator would not “waste precious time on tantrums and diversionary attention-seeking in the media but delivering on his mandate”.
The statement said the Senator appeared to have abdicated his legislative responsibility by engaging in unnecessary quarrels with perceived political rivals instead devoting it to constituency projects.
The group also challenged Senator Shehu Sani to ” tell the world exactly what Constituency Projects he executed with the N80 million he was given every quarter as a Nigerian lawmaker. If we multiply N80 million per quarter by the three years it will amount to approximately N240,000,000. We are not even asking questions about the N13.5 million he himself confessed collecting every month and another N750,000 monthly from the Nigerian treasury. In due course, we will ask questions about the details surrounding the N200million Constituency Allowance due to himself as Senator. ”
The group noted that the media visibility of the incumbent Senator ” has been more about picking quarrels with people who helped him win election in 2015 than initiating any bills for the development of Kaduna Central”.
The statement urged the people of Kaduna Central to insist on “specific records of the Constituency Projects that can be credited to Senator Shehu Sani between 2015 and now to “ascertain whether he can be voted again by the people”.
The group, however, urged volunteer democracy support groups in Kaduna Central to ” mount enlightenment campaign for voters in the Zone on how to rate the performance of their elected representatives at all levels” the statement said.
